2. First ASPERA Common Call for Proposals

ASPERA, the European ERA-Net network of funding agencies for the
promotion of astroparticle physics in Europe, is launching a first
common call for R&D and design studies for the realization of future
Astroparticle infrastructures. Within the frame of ASPERA, nine
funding agencies, including the Swiss National Foundation, together
with BMBF (Germany), CNRS and CEA (France), INFN (Italy), MICINN
(Spain), NCBiR (Poland), Nikhef (NL), STFC (UK), have joined their
efforts to support transnational projects of high scientific merit.

This call is the first of a series of common calls and is targeted
towards the Cherenkov Telescope Array for high energy gamma ray
astrophysics and direct dark matter searches.

The duration of the funding period for the successful proposals shall
be up to 3 years.

The call will open on the 2nd April 2009 and the deadline for the
receipt of proposals will be 4pm CET on 4th June 2009. More

Astromony and Astrophysics (SF2A, see http://www.sf2a.asso.fr/)
at their annual meeting in Besancon (29 june to 4 july 2009).

In particular, two joint workshops will be organised on
“Star and planet formation” and “High resolution and complex physical
modeling in numerical simulations”.
The proceedings will be published in electronic format and referenced
in the ADS.

Deadline for abstract submission is 31 may, 2009.
