The selection of the Saas-Fee course 2015 will be done at the
General Assembly in Basel. We look forward to receiving interesting

2. First announcement of the 44th “Saas-Fee Advanced Course” of the SSAA,
Engelberg, Switzerland, 2-7 March 2014

*** COSMOLOGY WITH WIDE-FIELD SURVEYS ***

The course will take place on 2-7 March 2014 in Engelberg.
The topics and lecturers are
–    Theory / Dark Energy: Prof. Luca Amendola,
–    Galaxy Clustering: Dr. Camille Bonvin,
–    Weak Lensing: Prof. Sarah Bridle,
–    Bayesian Methods: Dr. Roberto Trotta.

The registration is open from now until 23 January 2014 or until all
places have been allocated. An early-bird discount for the registration
fee is available until 2nd December 2013.

3. Annual scnat congress on “The Quantum Atom at 100 – Niels Bohr’s Legacy”,
Winterthur 21 – 22 November 2013

The Congress is dedicated to commemorate Bohr’s strike of genius 100 years
ago and to pay tribute to its impact on parts of the development of
physics and its applications that followed from it. Twelve distinguished
speakers will cover a selection of different topics. A public evening
lecture, given in German, will address some particular characteristics of
quantum mechanics.

Location: Campus St. Georgenplatz, Aula, Winterthur

Attendance is free of charge. Registrations can be made via the below
